Valérie Mazy
Valérie Mazy graduated with distinction in law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1987).
She has been registered at the French Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar since December 1990.
She mainly practices family law in its financial aspects (child support, alimony, liquidation of marital property and inheritance, etc.) and non-financial aspects (parental authority over minor children, custody, parentage, adoption), taking into account both national and international aspects, as well as lease and co-ownership law.
She is also active as an administrator of property and persons.
Since 2011, she has assisted and advised people under forced supervision or subject to judicial protection of their property or person.
She has been a family mediator since 2002; is accredited by the Federal Mediation Commission and has been specially trained in reasoned negotiation.
She participated in the family mediation project at the Francophone Court of First Instance of Brussels, Family Court, from 2012 to 2017.
Since September 2016, she has been teaching civil procedure in CAPA (Certificat d’Aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat) courses, appointed by the Council of the French Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar.
