Alain DETHEUX graduated in law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1992).
He has been registered at the French Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar since October 1992.
He mainly practices immigration law, administrative law and social law, advising both individuals and public authorities for over 30 years.
He is a member of the Foreigners Commission of the French Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar.
Since June 1999, he has been appointed by the Council of the French Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar as a professor of immigration law for CAPA (Certificat d’Aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat) courses. He also taught administrative litigation in CAPA courses.
By royal decree of March 2000, he was appointed as alternate member of the regularisation committee.
Since October 2018, Me Alain Detheux has been on the List of Counsel at the International Criminal Court.
He is a founding member of the M13 law firm.
